A unified Converter workspace with live comparison and watermark tools

September 25, 2026

New

  • Compare the original and result with a draggable divider, zoom, pan, fit controls, and keyboard shortcuts.
  • Start from Web, Print, Social, Game Texture, and Archive preset families, then save your own setup.
  • Create text or logo watermarks with nine placement points, offsets, rotation, shadow, outline, opacity, and reusable presets.
  • Reorder the main queue and GIF frames by dragging, retry failed files separately, or requeue completed work with new settings.
  • Optionally open the output folder after a successful conversion.

Improved

  • Keeps the last successful comparison visible while a changed preview refreshes in the background.
  • Remembers output location, format, quality, resize, naming, overwrite, preset, and privacy choices between launches.
  • Makes Watch Mode status and error messages easier to understand.

Fixed

  • Shows a clear missing-logo message instead of a generic invalid-path preview error.
  • Makes center watermark placement use signed horizontal and vertical offsets so the controls have a visible effect.
  • Improves upgrades for existing Pro activations and confirms success only after Pro access is verified on the device.

Beta testing

  • This is an optional Windows beta. Keep the stable v5.3 installer available and work with copies of important images.
  • When reporting an issue, include the Windows version, input and output formats, reproduction steps, and whether it appears in preview or export.
  • Do not share license keys, activation tokens, or full device identifiers in public reports.

Watch folders can now convert, remove backgrounds, or upscale

Watch Mode

  • Choose Convert images, Remove background, or AI upscale for each watched folder.
  • Save action-specific output and processing settings with the watcher.
  • Include nested folders when the workflow needs recursive monitoring.

Background Removal and Upscaling

  • Configure Background Removal quality, background, edge refinement, feather, edge shift, decontamination, and output format.
  • Configure the Upscaling model, scale or target size, tile size, denoise, sharpen, output format, and quality.
  • Run Background Removal or Upscaling on multiple selected files from Windows Explorer.

Improved

  • Made the selected Watch Mode operation clearer while configuring and reviewing a watcher.
  • Preserved selected settings more reliably across AI batch jobs.
  • Improved completion feedback for automated and multi-file AI workflows.

10 new formats, visual GIF creation, and faster repeat workflows

  • Added 10 new output formats—DDS, JPEG XL, GIF, QOI, EXR, HDR, PAM, PPM, PGM, and PBM—bringing the total to 20.
  • Added an animated GIF creator with a draggable frame timeline, timing, fit, quality, and loop controls.
  • Added a live multi-frame GIF preview with Play, Pause, Restart, and direct frame scrubbing before export.
  • Added guided Opaque, Alpha, and Lossless Master presets for standard 2D DDS textures.
  • Added Remove Background and Upscale actions that use saved profiles from the Windows Explorer right-click menu.
  • Added a one-time What's New overview and a searchable online user guide with shortcuts and format guidance.

  • Made transparent cutouts easier to inspect with a checkerboard preview, a separate mask view, and clearer edge tools.
  • Added mouse-wheel zoom, Space-drag panning, fit controls, and keyboard shortcuts to image previews and the mask editor.
  • Improved AI startup and hardware selection, especially on AMD and hybrid-GPU Windows PCs.
  • Prepared the selected upscale model before processing and reused it across Single, Batch, and Explorer jobs.
  • Showed format-specific options only when they apply and made dropdowns easier to use with a mouse or keyboard.

Fixed

  • Fixed Free Background Removal and Upscaling remaining on Preparing during setup.
  • Fixed Native 2× upscaling failing on images with an odd width or height.
  • Fixed valid files being rejected by Explorer Background Removal and refreshed configured actions correctly.
  • Fixed AVIF import and preview on Windows PCs without the optional system codec.
  • Fixed inaccurate GPU labels and improved reliability when hardware acceleration is unavailable.
  • Fixed floating preview controls becoming difficult to read over bright images.

Free and Pro

  • Increased Free from 5 to 10 Background Removal uses and from 5 to 10 Upscaling uses, counted separately.
  • Updated Orenvo Pro to a €24.99 one-time purchase with no subscription and support for up to 2 personal devices.

DDS input and more reliable HEIC/HEIF
