10 new formats, visual GIF creation, and faster repeat workflows

  • Added 10 new output formats—DDS, JPEG XL, GIF, QOI, EXR, HDR, PAM, PPM, PGM, and PBM—bringing the total to 20.
  • Added an animated GIF creator with a draggable frame timeline, timing, fit, quality, and loop controls.
  • Added a live multi-frame GIF preview with Play, Pause, Restart, and direct frame scrubbing before export.
  • Added guided Opaque, Alpha, and Lossless Master presets for standard 2D DDS textures.
  • Added Remove Background and Upscale actions that use saved profiles from the Windows Explorer right-click menu.
  • Added a one-time What's New overview and a searchable online user guide with shortcuts and format guidance.

Improved

  • Made transparent cutouts easier to inspect with a checkerboard preview, a separate mask view, and clearer edge tools.
  • Added mouse-wheel zoom, Space-drag panning, fit controls, and keyboard shortcuts to image previews and the mask editor.
  • Improved AI startup and hardware selection, especially on AMD and hybrid-GPU Windows PCs.
  • Prepared the selected upscale model before processing and reused it across Single, Batch, and Explorer jobs.
  • Showed format-specific options only when they apply and made dropdowns easier to use with a mouse or keyboard.

Fixed

  • Fixed Free Background Removal and Upscaling remaining on Preparing during setup.
  • Fixed Native 2× upscaling failing on images with an odd width or height.
  • Fixed valid files being rejected by Explorer Background Removal and refreshed configured actions correctly.
  • Fixed AVIF import and preview on Windows PCs without the optional system codec.
  • Fixed inaccurate GPU labels and improved reliability when hardware acceleration is unavailable.
  • Fixed floating preview controls becoming difficult to read over bright images.

Free and Pro

  • Increased Free from 5 to 10 Background Removal uses and from 5 to 10 Upscaling uses, counted separately.
  • Updated Orenvo Pro to a €24.99 one-time purchase with no subscription and support for up to 2 personal devices.

DDS input and more reliable HEIC/HEIF

  • Added basic DDS input to conversion, preview, Background Removal, and Upscaling when the texture is supported.
  • Improved HEIC and HEIF reliability on Windows without requiring optional system codec extensions.
  • Added clearer messages for DDS variants that are not supported yet.
  • DDS export was not included until v5.2.
